Closing Deadline: 9 August 2019

Description

The Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art will host the 9th Annual Art in Nature Photo Festival August 9-11, 2019. Professional, amateur and youth divisions’ photographs compete in five nature-inspired categories for great prizes. Photographers from as far as Alaska and Florida take part in the competition. This three-day event is full of activities, including the unveiling The Everyday Life of Andy Warhol, a special pop-up photography exhibit with an opening reception to be held on Friday, August 9th at 5 pm, with keynote speaker Elizabeth Kauffman, as well as lectures and seminars given by expert photographers.

All photos are submitted in printed format (with the exception of the new digital category) with a finished canvas size (canvas size means the size of the paper you choose to print your photo on) of either 8”x 10” or 11”x 14” without matting, mounting or framing (digital or physical). Entries are displayed in the museum until the end of the festival on Sunday. First place winning photos will be exhibited in the Welcome Gallery of the museum for up to three months.

All photos must be original photographs and correctly reflect the subject matter as it appeared in the viewfinder with nothing added to the image, and aside from dust spots, nothing taken away; and have been taken within the last two years.
